采用酯交换法,以联苯二氧乙醇和亚磷酸二乙酯为原料,合成了主链含磷液晶聚酯。通过红外光谱(FTIR)、核磁共振谱(NMR)对含磷液晶聚酯的化学结构进行了表征; 利用差示扫描量热仪(DSC)、偏光显微镜(POM)和X射线衍射仪(XRD)对液晶聚酯的相变行为进行研究; 通过红外光谱和热重分析(TGA)测试对液晶聚酯的热降解行为进行了探究。结果表明:所合成的含磷液晶聚酯是近晶相液晶聚酯,含磷液晶聚酯热稳定性好,成炭能力强,是一种潜在的高效液晶大分子阻燃剂。
Abstract:
Novel flame retardant liquid crystalline polyester(BPO-DEP)was synthesized through melting transesterification with 2,2-([1,1-biphenyl]-4,4-diyl)diethanol and diethyl phosphite. The chemical and phase structures of BPO-DEP were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy(1H NMR), differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), polarized optical microscope(POM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), and the thermal and flame retardant properties were investigated via thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA)and FTIR. The results showed that BPO-DEP showed a smectic A phase. The liquid crystalline temperature(tlc)and the isotropic temperature(ti)were 138.1 ℃ and 224.3 ℃. The TGA results showed that the initial thermal decomposition temperature(t5%), of BPO-DEP were 298.6 in air, and 304.3 ℃ in nitrogen. The residues at 800 ℃ were 26.6% in air, and 43.7% in nitrogen.
